On Mai 15th prior to the Critical Communications World in Berlin, the BDBOS hosted a full-day workshop about how to manage large scale events. The presentations of the lectures given there are now available online..
During the Tactical Day national and international experts shared their best practice on large scale events. The audience was able to learning detail how radio communications were guaranteed for the operation during the G20 Summit in Hamburg, the UCI Road World Championships in Bergen (Norway) or during the coverage of Hurricane Harvey in Texas (USA).
The workshop also focused on technical solutions for the operation of large-scale events. Among many other topics, it was presented how additional Secondary Control Channels (SCCH) as part of the public safety digital radio are used. In addition, Real-Time Monitoring and the Subscriber Management which administers users and call groups were explained.
